VLN Endurance Championship - Race Report Round 9

The European motorsport season ended for BLACK FALCON on Saturday with a highlight.  The team from Meuspath won its fourth overall victory of the year at the season finale of the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring.  Patrick Assenheimer (DE) and Maro Engel (DE) took first place with the BLACK FALCON Team AutoArena Mercedes-AMG GT3 #6, by catching the four way battle for second on the penultimate lap, and went into the final lap chasing the #911.  Under pressure the 911 had a crash and Engel took the flag as the winner, thus securing the team the VLN Speed Trophy as well as the SP9 Pro Championship title for Assenheimer.  The sister car, the AM Solutions Mercedes-AMG GT3 #16 of Adam Christodoulou (GB), Hubert Haupt (DE) and Dirk Müller (DE), finished fifth overall.  In the SP10 class Tobias Müller (DE), Tim Scheerbarth (DE) and Tristan Viidas (EE) won with the Mercedes-AMG GT4 #162 for the fourth time this season after an intensive four-fight for the day's victory.  Thanks to this success, they and the BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA secured the championship title in the GT4 class.  In the SP8T class Nico Bastian (DE), Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (TR) and Mike Stursberg (DE) won the class with the BLACK FALCON Team Knuffi AMG GT4 #152.  Their teammates Marek Böckmann (DE), Axel König (DE) and Tobias Wahl (DE) finished fourth in their class with the Knuffi-AMG GT4 #155.  Also, in the strongest production car category there was reason to be happy: Alexander Akimenkov (RU), Ronny Lethmate (DE) and Vasilii Selivanov (RU) came in second in the V6 with the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR Porsche 991 Carrera #395.  Their teammates Uwe Lebens (DE) and Michael Lindmayer (DE) finished seventh in the 911 with the #394.

VLN Endurance Championship - Race Report Round 8

BLACK FALCON experienced a race day full of highs and lows at the penultimate race of the endurance championship at the Nürburgring on Saturday with perfect weather conditions. Despite some setbacks during the four-hour race distance, the team from Meuspath was able to celebrate an overall podium, two class victories, several podium places and two championship titles.

VLN Endurance Championship - Preview Round 8

BLACK FALCON competes with two Mercedes-AMG GT3, three Mercedes-AMG GT4, the "wide body" Porsche as well as two production 911s at the penultimate VLN race of the year this Saturday (12.10.). At the eighth round of the Endurance Championship on the Nürburgring, serial Winner Patrick Assenheimer (DE) and Manuel Metzger drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3 #6 (BLACK FALCON Team AutoArena Motorsport) in the top class SP9. The duo keeps a close eye on the fourth BLACK FALCON overall victory of the year, while Yelmer Buurman (NL), and Luca Stolz (DE) will compete in the SPX class with the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo #54 (2020 version) and perform its first Nordschleife race. In the SP10 class Tobias Müller (DE), Tim Scheerbarth (DE) and Tristan Viidas (EE) race the Mercedes-AMG GT4 #162 (BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA). Shortly before the end of the season, the trio fights a head-to-head race for the championship title in the SP10 class - after the heart stopping final at VLN7, another exciting race is almost guaranteed. Two more AMG GT4 cars will start in the SP8T class: Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (TR), Stephan Rösler (DE) and Gabriele Piana (IT) will drive number 152 (BLACK FALCON Team KNUFFI), which won VLN7, while the sister car (#155, BLACK FALCON Team Knuffi) will be driven by Christoph Hoffmann (DE), Miguel Toril (ES) and Tobias Wahl (DE). For the Porsche vehicles of the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR, the Meuspath team relies on a mixture of pure-bred racing cars and production cars. The Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR II (#57) features a completely new design this weekend. Peter Ludwig (US), Manuel Metzger (DE) and "Takis" (CH) take turns at the wheel of the almost 500 hp "TEXTAR-Breitbau" in the fight for the class podium in the SP7. In the production cars group, two Porsche 991 Carrera will be in action. The current leaders of the V6 class, Alexander Akimenkov (RU), Ronny Lethmate (DE) and Vasilii Selivanov (RU), share #395 as usual. In the sister vehicle with the #394, Uwe Lebens (DE) completes his first VLN race of the year. His team mate is BLACK FALCON returnee Michael Lindmayer (DE).

Porsche Carrera Cup Germany - Race Report Round 8, Sachsenring

At the season finale of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at the Sachsenring, Carlos Rivas (LU) won the title. The Luxembourger delivered a perfect performance on the 3.6 km long natural race track and was celebrated as the new champion in the amateur classification of Germany's strongest one-make cup after a double pole position, victory in Saturday's race and victory in Sunday's race. David Kolkmann experienced a roller coaster of emotions at the season finale. On Saturday, after a slip-up, he only finished in twentyth place, but on Sunday he finished fifth and thus secured one of the best results of the season. Tim Zimmermann also finished the season with a good performance, finishing eighth on Saturday and eleventh on Sunday.

VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring - Race Report Round 7

The seventh round of the VLN Endurance Championship had a lot of action in store for BLACK FALCON. In changing weather conditions the team from Meuspath celebrated two class victories, a second and a third place. The team was successful with Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (TR) and Yannick Mettler (CH) at the wheel of the Knuffi Mercedes-AMG GT4 #152 in the SP8T and Alexander Akimenkov (RU), Ronny Lethmate (DE) and Vasilii Selivanov in the Porsche 991 Carrera #395 of the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR in the class V6. The crew of the IDENTICA Mercedes-AMG GT4 #162 made sure of a real heartbeat final with one of the narrowest finishes in VLN history: On the way to the finish line, the AMG GT4 fought an acceleration duel with a BMW M4 GT4 and finished second in the SP10 class, just 0.019 seconds behind. The Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR II #57 and its pilots Peter Ludwig (US) and Maik Rosenberg (DE) contributed the fourth podium place of the day with third place in the SP7 class to the team's excellent result.
