BLACK FALCON Team 48 LOSCH has written history at the first 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. With an outstanding performance, the driver quartet of Loek Hartog, Christopher Mies, Tobias Müller and Noah Nagelsdiek secured overall victory in the 12-hour race and finished the race with a one-lap lead over the second-placed car. Meanwhile, the BLACK FALCON sister car (#5) driven by Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, double starter Christopher Mies, Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg fought its way back to fourth place in the PRO/AM class after an accident at the race start through no fault of its own.
Second place overall, three class victories and five out of five cars that started at the finish line - that was the impressive result for the BLACK FALCON team after the 6h Ruhr Cup race, the fourth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in the 2024 season.
However, the mood was significantly dampened by a serious work accident that occurred in the NLS paddock on the eve of the race. Apparently caused by the explosion of a compressed air cylinder, numerous people were injured, some of them seriously.
The fifth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) provided BLACK FALCON with two podium finishes and numerous challenges. On Saturday morning, thick fog on the GP circuit initially caused a déjà vu of the 24-hour race three weeks ago. Fortunately, the fog proved to be less persistent this time and only meant that the qualifying session was shortened and the start of the race postponed by 45 minutes. The team from Meuspath at the Nürburgring celebrated the third victory of the year for the #103 in the PETN (Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring) CUP2-AM classification at the end of the four hours of racing. The sister car with the #148 finished third in the CUP 2-PRO classification after a thrilling final phase. However, only one of the other three cars saw the chequered flag.
