Team Black Falcon looks back on a successful weekend competing in the second Porsche Carrera Cup Germany race at Lausitzring. Christian Engelhart started from pole position in both races and ended up on the podium each time. After a second place in Saturday's race, Engelhart won the fourth round of the championship on Sunday morning while at the same time securing Black Falcons first victory in its short Carrera Cup history. Carlos Rivas achieved similar results in the amateur cup: The Luxembourgian finished second on Saturday and won the race on Sunday. Meanwhile, Gabriele Piana topped his personal best result in his Carrera Cup career when he crossed the line in eighth position on Sunday.  

The second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany will take place at the Lausitzring framed by the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) this weekend. For the third and fourth race of the championship all three designated BLACK FALCON drivers – Gabriele Piana, Christian Engelhart and Carlos Rivas – are lined up for the first time.

It was a premiere for BLACK FALCON at the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany season opener in Hockenheim. During two spectacular races on the 4,574 kilometer long track, the German squad based in Meuspath (Eifel) managed to score their first points in the championship and even finished on the podium in the amateur trophy.

For the first time in Black Falcon’s eleven-year history the Meuspath based racing team will participate in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. A total of three Porsche 991 GT3 Cup cars are ready to race at Hockenheim this weekend. The cars will be driven by last year’s runner-up Christian Engelhart, Garbiele Piana and Carlos Rivas.
