BLACK FALCON - Most successful weekend of the 2025 season
- Hits: 44
With a double podium finish in the overall standings and six class victories, the BLACK FALCON team delivered its best result of the 2025 season at the NLS doubleheader at the Nürburgring.
On both Saturday (NLS 7) and Sunday (NLS 8), the #48 “BLACK FALCON Team EAE” Porsche 911 GT3 R took class victory in the SP9-AM class and, with two third places, also finished on the overall podium on both days. In addition, the “48 Losch Motorsport by Black Falcon” team scored two class victories in the Porsche Cup category, which means that the championship battle in the CUP 2 class of the PETN (Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring) is becoming more exciting again. The team is also particularly proud of its further class victories in the SP10 class for GT4 cars and in the SP7 class for cars with up to 4L displacement – both on Saturday. All drivers delivered top performances in difficult conditions, successfully bringing seven cars across the finish line on Saturday and six on Sunday without any major damage.
BLACK FALCON Team EAE
The BLACK FALCON Team EAE not only achieved the best qualifying result (2x starting position 2 overall) with the Porsche 911 GT3 R on both days of the event, but also the best race result in both races:
Mustafa Mehmet Kaya / Mike Stursberg / Tobias Müller secured P3 in the overall standings in the first race on Saturday and also won the SP9 amateur class. In a thrilling rain-soaked race, the team delivered a flawless performance and even set the fastest lap of the race with a time of 7:56.040. At the award ceremony, Tobias Müller was also honored with the title “Driver of the Day.” This was not only due to his perfect lap, but also to his class victory with the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of the “48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON” team.
On Sunday, the “BLACK FALCON Team EAE” with a slightly modified driver line-up of Mustafa Mehmet Kaya / Mike Stursberg / Ben Bünnagel repeated Saturday's dream result: After tough battles and a flawless drive by all three drivers, they once again achieved the SP9 AM class victory and celebrated the GT3 Porsche's last outing of the 2025 season with P3 overall and an extensive champagne shower on the podium.
48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON
After their great success in the 12-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps, the “48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON” team continued their winning streak at the NLS double-header:
With Tobias Müller, Noah Nagelsdiek, and Carlos Rivas at the wheel, the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #948 won the CUP2 class on both race days and also finished in the top 10 overall with P7 on each day. With pole position in the CUP 2 class on Saturday and the fastest race lap in the class on Sunday, they also scored important extra points, which keeps the championship battle in the CUP 2 class of the PETN (Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring) wide open.
AV Racing by BLACK FALCON
The “AV Racing by BLACK FALCON” team entered two cars in the NLS double-header:
The BMW M4 GT4 EVO with start number 163, driven by Judson Holt, Denny Stripling, and Alexandru Vasilescu, already caused a sensation at NLS 7 on Saturday: In addition to winning the AM category, the trio also took class victory in the highly competitive SP10 class (cars according to GT4 regulations). On Sunday, Ryan Harrison, Judson Holt, and Denny Stripling repeated their victory in the SP10 AM category and took second place in the SP10 class against strong competition.
Drivers Tyler Hoffman and Robert Walker competed in the BMW 330i with start number 512 in the NLS double-header to obtain the Nordschleife Permit A. After two successful and flawless races, both drivers will now be able to compete in more powerful vehicles in the “Permit A” category.
BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN
In the PETN CUP2 Pro/Am category, the BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN, consisting of Alex Hardt, Peter Ludwig, and Maik Rosenberg, secured two second places in their Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#900). The trio finished fourth in the highly competitive CUP 2 class on both days and also made it into the top 10 of the overall standings on Sunday with P10 overall. In the battle for the PETN Pro/Am championship, the trio is only 1.5 points behind the leaders, so the next two races promise to be pure excitement!
The strong team result for BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN was rounded off by another victory in the SP7 class: Axel Sartingen, Leon Wassertheurer, and Nils Schwenk were in top form on Saturday in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS with start number 70, defying the difficult conditions and driving to class victory with a 28-second lead. On Sunday, David Barst, Axel Sartingen, and Leon Wassertheurer took to the track. After only nine laps, they had to retire from the race due to oil pressure problems with the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, which was the only retirement for BLACK FALCON during the entire race weekend.
Start number 964
Last but not least, the drivers of the BLACK FALCON Porsche Cayman GT4 CS with start number 964, Otto Blank and “Takis,” supported by Nordschleife veteran Daniel Schwerfeld, celebrated the successful acquisition of the Nordschleife Permit A after a flawless drive.
Team comments
Christoph Henkel (CEO): “Two overall podiums with the GT3 R in one weekend and two Cup victories – that's a strong statement for our overall program. The crew did a great job under extremely changeable conditions, and our drivers kept their cool.”
Alexander Böhm (Managing Director & Founder): "The double-header weekend shows how broad our range is – from the GT3 to the Cup Porsche to the VT2 BMW, from Nordschleife newcomers to professionals, BLACK FALCON covers all areas. The fact that our drivers were able to share the track with reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen on Saturday was an unforgettable highlight for me, a priceless add-on for the entire series! My compliments and thanks go to all partners, drivers, and the entire team who made this most successful weekend in BLACK FALCON's recent history possible. We will now take this momentum with us into the last two races of the season."
