BLACK FALCON excites at the season highlight in the Eifel

Strong results at the 53rd ADAC RAVENOL 24h Race at the Nürburgring

he ADAC RAVENOL 24h Race at the Nürburgring fully lived up to its reputation as the highlight of the 2025 season. With midsummer weather and perfect conditions, a new spectator record was set with 280,000 fans in attendance. A curious novelty was the more than two-hour interruption of the race after a power failure in the pit lane, a probably unique event in the racing history of the Nürburgring. BLACK FALCON put in an extremely strong performance with six cars in action: in a field of 134 starters, the team celebrated three class victories, one second place, and also achieved excellent overall placings with several cars.  Even before the race, the BLACK FALCON drivers and cars thrilled fans at the traditional Adenauer Racing Day. On the track, the team continued its strong form from the previous season and impressed with perfect pit stops, the right racing tactics, and professional teamwork under the most demanding conditions.

48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON – The perfect weekend!

Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #948 – CUP2 PRO class

  • Qualifying: 1st place CUP2 PRO
  • Race: 1st place CUP2 PRO (overall: 11th place)

The Luxembourg team 48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON celebrated an impressive start-to-finish victory in the highly competitive CUP2 PRO class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) at the 24-hour race. In addition to regular drivers Tobias Müller, Noah Nagelsdiek, and Carlos Rivas, another Luxembourg driver, Dylan Pereira, also took part. Pereira, an experienced Porsche specialist and former Porsche Supercup champion, proved to be the ideal addition to the team and, like his three teammates, delivered a perfect performance.

Even before the race, the team presented itself to the public in high spirits at the Adenauer Racing Day. With the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup designed in LOSCH livery, the drivers and vehicle were a popular attraction for fans, autograph hunters, and media representatives – a successful warm-up for a perfect weekend.

The team performed confidently in qualifying and secured pole position in the class with a strong lap time. In the race, the quartet confirmed their strong form and controlled the race from the front for long stretches. After an exciting duel throughout the first half of the race, a puncture on the second-placed car early on Sunday morning sealed the deal – the team took the opportunity to slightly reduce the pace and bring the #948 safely to the finish line.

After 24 hours, the “LOSCH-911” crossed the finish line unscathed and celebrated a commanding class victory in one of the most prestigious classes of the entire race. The driver and team had delivered the perfect race: unlike many of their competitors, the #948 did not incur a single penalty second and crossed the finish line without a single scratch.

BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN – Victory and DNF

For the BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN, joy and sorrow were close together at the 24-hour race: While the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS (#70) retired after a strong performance due to an accident, the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#900) celebrated a hard-fought class victory in the CUP2 AM class on its 24-hour debut.

Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #900 – CUP2 AM class

  • Qualifying: 1st place CUP2 AM
  • Race: 1st place CUP2 AM (overall: 17th place)

The Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN – driven by Alex Hardt, Thomas Kiefer, Peter Ludwig, and Maik Rosenberg – delivered an impressive performance at the 24-hour race on the Nordschleife. The team qualified as the fastest AM car in third place overall in the CUP2 class.

The start of the race was initially unfortunate: shortly after the start, there was a minor collision that damaged the front axle of the car. However, it was a blessing in disguise: the subsequent race interruption due to a power failure allowed the team to replace the defective parts during the enforced break without losing any additional time. After the restart, the team resumed the race from the back and worked its way back into the leading group of the class with a strong pace.

Two hours before the end of the race, another incident caused a moment of shock: in the Klostertal section, the Porsche hit a fuel spill, skidded off the track at high speed, and crashed into the guardrail. But the team was once again lucky in its misfortune: the rear bumper had absorbed the force of the impact well and, after a quick check in the pits, the #900 was able to return to the track.

In the end, the “ZIMMERMANN-911” crossed the finish line in fourth place in the CUP2 overall standings and won the CUP2 AM classification by a clear margin – a well-deserved reward for a strong team performance in the BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN's 24-hour debut.

Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS #70 – Class SP7

  • Qualifying: 4th place SP7
  • Race: Retired on Sunday morning after an accident in the Kesselchen section

The BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN, consisting of David Barst, Anton Ruf, Axel Sartingen, and “Nils Schwenk,” got off to a promising start to the weekend: After a flawless qualifying session, in which the focus was on ensuring sufficient driving time for all drivers, the “ZIMMERMANN Cayman” started the race from fourth place. The start went smoothly, but early on Saturday evening – shortly after the restart – the #70 was hit from the side during an overtaking maneuver through no fault of its own, damaging the vehicle's lighting system.

Despite this setback and a lengthy pit stop, the team continued the race undeterred and initially showed a strong comeback during the night. Early on Sunday morning – at this point in second place in the class – the Cayman then crashed in the Kesselchen section during a lapping maneuver: the car lost grip in the dirt next to the ideal line and crashed into the guard rails. The damage to the bodywork was irreparable on site, bringing the #70's race to a premature end.

For David Barst, Anton Ruf, and “Nils Schwenk,” it was their first 24-hour race on the Nordschleife. Before the unfortunate retirement, the team showed strong pace and a cohesive team performance, which bodes well for future races.

AV Racing by BLACK FALCON – Outstanding class victory at the highlight of the season

BMW M4 GT4 Evo #67 – Class SP10

  • Qualifying: 6th place SP10
  • Race: 1st place SP10 (Overall: 30th place)

The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring was an extraordinary success for AV Racing by BLACK FALCON: The team led by Alex Vasilescu, “Bear,” Ryan Harrison, and Leon Wassertheurer secured the class victory in the SP10 class, which was as competitive as ever. For three of the four drivers – “Bear,” Ryan Harrison, and Leon Wassertheurer – it was their first ever 24-hour race on the Nordschleife. Ryan Harrison had already participated in the race last year alongside Alex Vasilescu, but was unable to drive due to an early accident. This made this year's success all the more impressive, with the young drivers also delivering a remarkably mature and professional performance.

In qualifying, the team took a cautious approach, deliberately focusing on efficient race preparation rather than maximum speed. All drivers used the time to gain sufficient experience in the night session. Accordingly, the team started the race from sixth place in the SP10 class.

During the turbulent race, the quartet of drivers delivered a flawless performance: just like the drivers of the #948, the drivers of the #67 did not incur any time penalties and brought the car home without a scratch. With consistent, fast lap times and no incidents whatsoever, the team managed to steadily work its way up through the field to first place.

This highly professional performance was ultimately rewarded with a well-deserved victory in the SP10 class – a great success for the entire team. Particularly noteworthy is Alex Vasilescu, who, as the initiator of AV Racing, is also likely to be the first Romanian driver to celebrate a class victory in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. As the vehicle also competed under the Romanian flag and with a Romanian competitor's license, the success also marks a historic milestone as the first class victory for a Romanian team in the Eifel Marathon.

Team BILSTEIN by BLACK FALCON – Flawless race and strong second place

BMW M4 GT4 Evo #150 – Class SP8T

  • Qualifying: 2nd place SP8T
  • Race: 2nd place SP8T (Overall: 21st place)

Team BILSTEIN by BLACK FALCON impressed across the board at the 24-hour race and rewarded itself with a well-deserved second place in the SP8T class. In qualifying, the quartet of drivers – consisting of Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Brown, Misha Charoudin, and Manuel Metzger – put the BMW M4 GT4 Evo in second place in the class. Due to a time penalty against a competitor for a violation under Code 60 conditions, the #150 moved up to pole position for the start of the race.

Even before the start, the car was a real crowd favorite: on Wednesday, the team took part in the traditional Adenauer Racing Day with the BMW M4 GT4 Evo. At this fan event in the center of Adenau, fans have the opportunity to experience the cars and drivers up close – autographs, selfies, and petrolhead talk included. The four drivers clearly enjoyed the atmosphere, once again underlining the popularity of the eye-catching BILSTEIN BMW among fans and the media.

The team completed an almost perfect race over the entire distance: all four drivers remained error-free, and the vehicle was brought home without any contact over the full distance – an extraordinary result in one of the toughest and most crash-prone endurance races in the world.

In the end, the team crossed the finish line in second place in the SP8T class. Victory went to a vehicle that had a clear performance advantage due to its vehicle concept – a difference that is fundamentally possible and compliant with the rules in the open SP8T class. Against this backdrop, the #150 achieved the best possible result with flawless team and driver performance.

BLACK FALCON Team EAE – Dramatic 24-hour debut for the GT3 R

Porsche 992 GT3 R #48 – SP9 Pro/Am class

  • Qualifying: 8th overall, best Pro/Am car
  • Race: 7th place SP9 Pro/Am

The BLACK FALCON Team EAE race weekend began with a spectacular crash: Mustafa Mehmet Kaya had an accident during night practice on Thursday evening in the Metzgesfeld section of the track, crashing into a stack of tires at approximately 100 km/h. Although Kaya initially appeared uninjured, an examination at the hospital on Saturday morning revealed two broken ribs, which unfortunately made it impossible for “MMK” to participate in the race.

The pit crew of the Porsche 992 GT3 R then took on the enormous challenge and worked through the night and into Friday morning to get the badly damaged car back into racing condition in time for the top qualifying session on Friday afternoon. Thanks to an impressive team effort, the repairs were completed literally to the minute. Daan Arrow rewarded the team for their extraordinary efforts with a strong lap, securing the #48 car a sensational eighth place overall and pole position in the Pro/Am class – a remarkable achievement in the Porsche 992 GT3 R's first outing for BLACK FALCON in the 24h Nürburgring.

Due to Kaya's injury, the remaining three drivers – Daan Arrow, Ben Bünnagel, and Gabriele Piana – shared the 24-hour distance. The trio put in an outstanding performance in the early hours of the race and were in a promising position for a long time in the battle for the top places in the overall standings and for victory in the Pro/Am class.

However, a technical defect during the night caused a major setback: a fuel pump that had been replaced before the race failed, and replacing it again cost three valuable race laps, ending any hopes of a top result – a scenario that can occur at any time, despite the most careful preparation.

After losing time, the team fought its way back up the field, place by place, until another incident in the early hours of the morning meant the end of the race: a puncture in the Hatzenbach area forced Daan Arrow to bring the car back to the pits at walking pace. However, the lack of airflow caused the engine temperature to rise so high that Arrow had to stop the car for safety reasons. After a long wait, the GT3 R was towed back to the pit lane.

After a thorough inspection of the car, it was jointly decided not to continue the race, as a competitive position was no longer achievable from a sporting point of view. However, at the end of the race, the team completed a symbolic lap of honor and crossed the finish line in the standings – an emotional and dignified conclusion to the debut of the Team EAE Porsche 992 GT3 R in the 24-hour race. Despite losing the race, the overall conclusion is positive: the good times in qualifying and the race give hope for top results in the future, and the team hopes to prove this again impressively at the NLS 6-hour race in August.

On behalf of the entire BLACK FALCON team, we wish “MMK” a speedy recovery and all the best!

Conclusion: Strong results and an all-round successful weekend

With three class victories, one second place, and outstanding positions in the overall standings—11th place overall ( #948), 17th (#900), 21st (#150), and 30th (#67) – BLACK FALCON can look back on an extremely successful race weekend at the 2025 24-hour race.

In addition to the impressive performance of the drivers and pit crew, the dedication of the staff in the areas of organization, catering, and guest services was also remarkable: over 30 permanent employees and helpers took care of the physical well-being, entertainment, and transportation of over 400 BLACK FALCON guests and employees.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all drivers, partners, guests, employees, and helpers who made this unique event possible!
