BLACK FALCON with extensive program in the Nürburgring Endurance Series 2023

BLACK FALCON ready for NLS 2023

BLACK FALCON will compete in all rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in the 2023 season with up to five cars. In the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN), the team from Meuspath will be fielding two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS cars and a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup at the start of the season. From NLS 4 onwards, another Porsche 992 GT3 Cup and a Permit B vehicle will be added.

IDENTICA and BLACK FALCON back in the PRO class of PETN CUP2
The BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA is again the spearhead of the BLACK FALCON commitment on the Nürburgring Nordschleife this year. After numerous successes in the first year of PETN, the team is once again setting its sights on podium places in the fiercely contested CUP 2 class. The IDENTICA Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#102) will be driven in all races by Team IDENTICA newcomer Ben Bünnagel as well as Noah Nagelsdiek and Carlos Rivas. Bünnagel attracted attention in recent years with strong performances in various classes of the NLS and, together with BLACK FALCON, took a class victory (2020, CUP3 class) and a second place (2022, CUP2 class) at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. For Nagelsdiek and Rivas, this is already the third season with Team IDENTICA. Nagelsdiek was already successful in 2021 with the IDENTICA Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR SP-PRO and contested two races with the Porsche GT3 R in the SP9 class at the end of the season. He also strengthened the IDENTICA line-up at the Nürburgring 24h race last year. The record ProAm champion of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, Carlos Rivas, was already an IDENTICA regular driver in 2020 and joined the IDENTICA line-up for individual events in 2021.

Team TEXTAR starts the season with two Porsche Cayman GT4s
For BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR, two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS will be on the grid in the CUP3 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring in the 13th year of the collaboration. Competing year-round in the #931 car will be Cabell Fisher and Didier Glorieux, who will be replaced by longtime BLACK FALCON regular Martin Meenen in the event of scheduling conflicts with the Porsche Carrera Cup BeNeLux. For NLS1, Glorieux and Fisher will be supported by NLS newcomer Florian Wahl. Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld will compete in the number 932 Cayman. After two successful years in the ADAC GT4 Germany, the NLS is now on the agenda for the duo this year. Both Cayman GT4s will initially start with throttled power in so-called "Permit-B" specification until Sartingen, Glorieux and Wahl have collected the final mandatory laps for the Nordschleife Permit-A.

ProAm championship without reigning champion due to injury
For Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, defending the title in the ProAm drivers' classification of the PETN Class Cup 2 was on the agenda after the extremely successful 2022 season. However, after fracturing his ankle shortly before the start of the season, Kaya has to sit out the first three NLS rounds, meaning that the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup will not be able to compete in the title fight until Kaya has fully recovered. Kaya is expected to start again in the Nürburgring Endurance Series with his teammates Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg from June.

Alexander Böhm, Managing Director and Team Principal BLACK FALCON:
"We have put together a very good line-up for the season on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife over the winter and will be starting with a mix of veterans and NLS newcomers. Also, all our long-time industry partners are back on board, a great proof of trust for the whole team!
Like last year, BLACK FALCON will focus on the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring, which offers top-class sport as well as excellent support for the participating teams. We are particularly pleased that we will be introducing numerous drivers from Germany and abroad to the NLS throughout the year. After the 24h race we will enter another Permit B vehicle for this purpose.

Unfortunately, due to the injury of Mehmet Kaya, a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup is out of action for the time being - the whole team wishes Mehmet a speedy recovery and is already looking forward to his comeback!
