Porsche Carrera Cup Germany & ADAC GT4 Germany Oschersleben - Race Report

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR scored two class wins and two podium finishes in a double-header at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. At the second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, Carlos Rivas (#6) dominated the action in the ProAm classification, again winning both championship rounds. His teammate Loek Hartog (#4) finished 5th and 6th in the rookie standings after a lot of bad luck. In the ADAC GT4 Germany Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld achieved two podium finishes in the Trophy classification right away with the Porsche Cayman GT4 (#33). At the BLACK FALCON - debut in the German GT4 Championship, the duo drove to position 3 in their class on Saturday and position 2 on Sunday.

Porsche Carrera Cup Germany - Race 3 & 4
The 3rd round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland initially started behind the safety car on Saturday afternoon due to a rain shower. BLACK FALCON driver Loek Hartog (#4) started the race from grid position six and fought his way up to 4th place in difficult conditions in the early stages. A spin at the halfway point of the race threw him far back, but the 18-year-old fought his way up to 18th position overall and fifth in the rookie classification during the rest of the race. In the second BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR car, Carlos Rivas (#6) started the race from pole position in the ProAm class after a strong qualifying. The Luxembourger completed a flawless third race of the season and secured full points in the ProAm standings with another victory.
On Sunday, Loek Hartog started the race from position four. In the battle for position three, the Dutchman's right rear tire was damaged by a slight contact, costing him any chance of a good result in the overall standings. Hartog finished sixth in the rookie classification and thus still secured important championship points. Carlos Rivas again started the fourth championship race as the best-placed ProAm driver. Rivas excelled with consistently fast lap times and gained several positions in the overall standings over the course of the race. After a flawless race, the 44-year-old celebrated his fourth win of the season in the ProAm class and crossed the finish line in 13th place overall. He thus secured important points in the overall championship and is comfortably leading the ProAm championship after four races. Team-mate Hartog travels to the next race at the Red Bull Ring (June 11-13) in second place in the rookie classification and 12th overall.

ADAC GT4 Germany - Rounds 1 & 2
At the first race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany, BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR celebrated a successful debut with the Porsche Cayman GT4 (#33). On Saturday, Daniel Schwerfeld took over qualifying and the start of the one-hour race. At the halfway point of the race, he handed over the wheel to teammate Axel Sartingen during the mandatory pit stop, who drove the Cayman across the finish line in third place in the Trophy standings. On Sunday, the duo completed the second race of the season in reverse order and secured second place in class in an exciting race with tough battles for positions. After the first of six race weekends, Sartingen and Schwerfeld are now second in the Trophy standings. The next round of the ADAC GT4 Germany will take place in mid-June as part of the ADAC GT Masters at the Red Bull Ring.

Timo Frings, Head of Motorsport BLACK FALCON:
We are of course very happy about the successful debut in the GT4 Germany. Axel and Daniel have proven their skills with two podium finishes at the season opener and have made an optimal start to the season.
In the Porsche Carrera Cup, after Loek's strong qualifying, we had of course set our sights much higher, but this weekend we lacked the necessary luck in the race. If we can keep up the qualifying pace at the Red Bull Ring, I'm very optimistic about the remaining races of the season. Carlos once again delivered a perfect performance and is the benchmark in the ProAm standings - the season can happily continue like this.
