Nürburgring Endurance Series Round 2 - Race Report

BLACK FALCON got off to a successful start to the season on the Nordschleife at the second round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and celebrated several class victories.  The BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA delivered a strong race with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR in the SP-PRO class and finished in 14th place overall as the best-placed vehicle outside the GT3 class. The four vehicles of the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR also showed consistently strong performances at the season opener. In the SP8T class, the two Mercedes-AMG GT4s celebrated a double victory, while the Porsche Cayman GT4 crossed the finish line in fourth place in the GT4 SP10 class. The successful day was rounded off with a class win for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR in the SP7 class.

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA
In the first NLS race of the year, Noah Nagelsdiek, Florian Naumann and Hendrik von Danwitz put in an outstanding performance at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR (#350). In their first race together for the BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA, the trio started the four-hour race from 22nd position and fought their way to the front over the distance through the strong field. In the end, the IDENTICA Porsche crossed the finish line as the best-placed car outside the top SP9 class in 14th overall position, leaving several of the significantly more powerful GT3 cars behind.

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR
Four cars competed for BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR at the NLS season opener. In the SP8T class Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg drove a strong and flawless race in the Mercedes-AMG GT4 (#140). After four hours of racing, the trio was delighted with the class win and also achieved a place in the top 25 overall.
In the sister car, the Mercedes-AMG GT4 with start number 141, Marco Müller, Stephan Rösler and Ersin Yücesan secured second place in class and thus ensured a double victory at the season opener.
In the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR, Paul Harkema and Niels Langeveld celebrated a perfect debut in their first race for BLACK FALCON. After a strong performance in qualifying, the Dutchmen started the race from pole position in the SP7 class, gave the competition no chance over the four-hour distance and secured their first SP7 class victory.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 of "Iceman", Carsten Palluth and Tobias Wahl started in the highly competitive SP10 class for vehicles according to SRO GT4 regulations. After an eventful race, the trio crossed the finish line in fourth place in the class.

After the successful start to the season, the team now continues at full throttle. In a fortnight, another double weekend is on the agenda for BLACK FALCON: The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will start the season in Spa-Francorchamps (29.04. - 01.05.) as part of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), while the third NLS round will be held on the Nordschleife on Labour Day (01.05.).
