Double kick-off for BLACK FALCON: LMP3 - debut in Barcelona and NLS at the Nürburgring

Michelin Le Mans Cup Round 1 // Nürburgring Endurance Series Round 2 - Preview

BLACK FALCON faces the first of five double events in the 2021 season this coming weekend. The team from Meuspath will be running a total of six cars on two different race tracks. At the season opener of the Michelin Le Mans Cup in Barcelona, Donar Munding and Maik Rosenberg will start with the Ligier JS P320 in the first race of the newly launched BLACK FALCON - LMP program. Almost at the same time, the second round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) will run, kicking off the endurance season at the Nürburgring after the cancellation three weeks ago due to weather conditions. BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA will start the NIMEX DMV 4-hour race with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR SP PRO, while BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR will enter the race with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR, a Porsche Cayman GT4 and two Mercedes-AMG GT4s.

Michelin Le Mans Cup - Race 1 in Barcelona
BLACK FALCON is eagerly anticipating the season opener of the Michelin Le Mans Cup at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. After numerous days of testing, the team from Meuspath now has its first race with the Ligier JS P320 on the agenda. Thanks to turquoise accents on the dark camouflage chassis, the LMP3 prototype is immediately recognizable in the over 30-strong starting field. The cockpit of car number 16 is shared by Donar Munding and Maik Rosenberg for all races of the season. The first round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup runs over a distance of two hours and starts on Saturday (17.04.) at 16:30.

Race 2 of the Nürburgring Endurance Series
BLACK FALCON is at the start with five cars at the delayed season opener. In the SP-PRO class, BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA sends the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR (#350) with Noah Nagelsdiek, Florian Naumann and Hendrik von Danwitz into the race.
For the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR two Mercedes and two Porsche cars will be used. The AMG GT4 with the starting number 140 is shared by Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg. Marco Müller, Stephan Rösler and Ersin Yücesan take turns at the wheel of the sister car with start number 141. Both cars will start in the SP8 T class, in which, in contrast to the GT4 SP10 class, the vehicles are allowed to start with less weight and more than 500 hp. In the SP7 class up to 4 L displacement, the team will field another Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR (#57) driven by Paul Harkema and Niels Langeveld. The BLACK FALCON line-up is completed by the Porsche Cayman GT4 (#161), which is named in the SP10 class for cars according to SRO GT4 regulations. The Porsche in the yellow and black TEXTAR design is shared by "Iceman", Carsten Palluth and Tobias Wahl.
The second round of the NLS will start as usual at 12 noon on Saturday.
