Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe / Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland – Preview Report Round 1

This weekend, BLACK FALCON take on two racing series on two tracks at the same time: The team from Meuspath competes with four Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the first race of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at the Hockenheimring - at the same time a BLACK FALCON Mercedes-AMG GT3 races in Brands Hatch, Great Britain, at the season opener of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe.

The Blancpain GT Series will host the first race of the Sprint series "World Challenge Europe" on the legendary circuit at Brands Hatch. BLACK FALCON is racing a Mercedes-AMG GT3 (#4) in the PRO class at all championship races this year. Maro Engel (Germany) and Luca Stolz (Germany) share the cockpit of the AMG. For the reigning champions of the Endurance Cup of the Blancpain GT Series, things are getting serious as early as on Saturday evening: Both drivers fight for the starting positions for the two one-hour races, which will start on Sunday at 12:10 and 16:35 in a 10-minute qualifying session per driver.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Germany celebrates a big anniversary this year and starts into the 30th season at the Hockenheimring within the DTM season openener In the fight for the team classification, BLACK FALCON will send David Kolkmann (Germany) and Tim Zimmermann (Germany) into the game. In the amateur classification, Carlos Rivas (Luxembourg) and Sören Spreng (Germany) will compete for podium places and the Amateur Championship.  The starting order of the first two races, which will take place on Saturday afternoon (15:15) and Sunday morning (11:30), will be decided on Saturday morning in a half-hour qualifying session. The fastest lap decides the order for the Sunday race, the second fastest time of a driver defines the starting grid of race 1 on Saturday.
