Historic record and two wins in the rookie classification

BLACK FALCON Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 992 von Carlos Rivas in Monza

Porsche Carrera Cup Germany - Race Report Monza

At the fourth race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in Monza, Italy, BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR celebrated a historic record in the ProAm classification with Carlos Rivas (#6) and two first places in the rookie classification with Loek Hartog (#4). On the high-speed track in the Royal Park of Monza, Rivas first secured pole position for Saturday's race and grid position two for Sunday in the ProAm class within a strong field of eight cars. In the seventh race of the season on Saturday afternoon, Rivas again controlled the action in the class and secured his 35th victory in the ProAm classification of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. This makes the Luxembourger, who achieved all his Porsche Carrera Cup successes with Team BLACK FALCON, the most successful ProAm driver in the history of the world's most traditional one-make cup. In Sunday's race, Rivas was involved in a collision shortly before the end of the race while in the lead and was still classified as 7th in class. After seven wins in eight races, Rivas continues to lead the ProAm standings comfortably at the halfway point of the season.
Loek Hartog (#4) secured a good starting position for the two races in the extremely competitive qualifying on Saturday morning. In the 29-car field, the Dutchman put his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup on grid positions six (Saturday) and nine (Sunday). In the first race of the weekend, the 18-year-old delivered a commanding performance. Hartog finished fifth overall, his best result of the season so far, and also won the rookie classification. In the second race on Sunday afternoon, the Dutchman saw the chequered flag in 10th position overall after a tough battle for positions and once again secured victory in the rookie classification. By scoring a maximum of 50 points at Monza, Hartog now leads the rookie standings by eleven points at the halfway point of the season.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will start into the second half of the season in just three weeks. The fifth race weekend will take place in Zandvoort (NL) from 9 to 11 July.

Loek Hartog:
"We had our best weekend so far this year in Monza, celebrated two wins in the rookie classification and are leading the standings again. In the overall standings, we have reached fifth place, a level we want to at least maintain for the rest of the season.
The first half of the season is now over - there were ups and downs and we have learned a lot. The team and I are fully motivated for the second half of the season. The speed is there. The goal now is to fight for podium places in the overall standings and to continue to be at the top of the rookie standings."

Carlos Rivas:
"On Saturday, my ultimate goal was to win the race and take my seventh win of the season. Of course, in the last laps I was also thinking about the record and was incredibly happy about this achievement. After a good start on Sunday, we were in the lead until two laps before the finish - unfortunately, I then made a small mistake which led to a spin. My rival couldn't react quickly enough and there was a collision, which then caused me to fall back. That was really unlucky - we tick it off and focus fully on the next race in Zandvoort."
