Motorsports and more since 2006

Black Falcon GmbH & Co. KG was brought to life in autumn 2005 by Alexander Böhm, Marc Schramm and Marvin Wagner. The official foundation then took place on 5 January 2006.

In the founding year, the young team started at the Dubai 24 hour race and took part in the VLN Endurance Championship Nürburgring with three cars, where already in the first year they ended the season as runner up.

At the beginning Black Falcon had less than 100 m² of workshop space with only one hydraulic lift at its disposal in Dernbach/Westerwald. But already in February 2007, Black Falcon moved in to a 500 m², modern workshop hall near the Nürburgring.
Thus, in addition to racing sports, the areas of construction, optimization and maintenance of customer sports vehicles could also be greatly expanded from 2007 onwards.

In terms of motorsports the company initially stayed mainly at the Nürburgring. The team's vehicle fleet – mostly BMWs – grew to ten vehicles by 2010. And from a competitive point of view things also sped ahead: In 2008, 2009 and 2011 Black Falcon won the VLN Endurance Championships at the Nürburgring. In addition to the successes in the VLN, Black Falcon also won the Seat Leon Supercopa championship, which was the first Black Falcon commitment in Germany away from the Nürburgring.

With the arrival of the attractive GT3 cars, Black Falcon also entered international GT sports, initially with Audi from March 2010 and then with the new Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 from autumn 2010. And AMG customer sports turned out to be just the right thing: On 16.10.2010 Black Falcon was able to win the VLN race, and thus the first ever customer sport race with an SLS AMG GT3.

The first big success on the international stage and also the first overall win of a 24 hour race in the company's history was celebrated in January 2012 in Dubai. In addition, it was also the first ever victory of a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 at a 24 hour race. This success was then even repeated at the same venue in the years 2013 and 2015.

The highlight of the company's hitherto history then followed in 2013. The Black Falcon team won the 24 hour race at the Nürburgring which, next to Le Mans, is probably the most competitive long-distance race in GT racing. The year 2014 was almost equally successful with the team ending the 24h race at the Nürburgring in close second.

The winning car of 2013 can now be admired in the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

In addition to AMG customer sports vehicles, Black Falcon has increasingly been placing its bets on Porsche racing cars since 2012. An impressive fleet of over 10 vehicles is now available to Black Falcon customers for racing and active driving events. These Porsche cars have also enabled many class wins and exceptional results in Dubai and the Nürburgring since 2012.

In the years 2012 and 2013 the shareholder structure of Black Falcon was changed, when the former Black Falcon driver Sean Paul Breslin took on the role of general manager and SLS team boss, and Marc Schramm left the company and set up his own sports agency. Alexander Böhm remained on board as partner and now sole managing director and Marvin Wagner as partner, general manager and technical director.

In addition to the successes in endurance and GT3 sports, the company has celebrated victories in the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi in 2013, many more class and category wins in the VLN Endurance Championship, the Blancpain Endurance Series, in the RCN Nürburgring and in other international races.

The large fleet of cars then made another relocation inevitable in the year 2012: On 01.03.2012 Black Falcon moved to the newly built headquarters in the industrial area of Meuspath, right next to the legendary Nordschleife. The new building not only serves as a base for the international racing activities, but also as a representative location for Black Falcon business partners next to the most beautiful racetrack in the world.
