BLACK FALCON continues its winning streak: a clean sweep of the podium and four class victories at the NLS 6-hour race

At the season’s highlight of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS), the “6h ADAC Ruhr-Pokal Race”, team BLACK FALCON seamlessly built on its strong performances in the NLS 6, with all seven cars that started finishing in the top 25 of the results list.
For the third time this season, 48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON secured a podium finish in third place overall with the #48 Porsche 911 GT3 R and also comfortably claimed class victory in the SP9 PRO-AM. There was double cause for celebration in the CUP2 class too: following a flawless performance, BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN triumphed ahead of their team-mates from Team LIQUI MOLY by BLACK FALCON – a one-two finish that earned vital points in the battle for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) championship. This impressive team result was rounded off by class victories for AV Racing by BLACK FALCON in the SP10 class and for BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC in the AT2 class. Second place for BLACK FALCON Team EAE in the SP9 AM category further capped off the team’s great success.
48 LOSCH Motorsport by Black FALCON
Things got off to a promising start for Patrick Assenheimer, Tobias Müller and Dylan Pereira in the morning’s qualifying session. The driver trio secured a promising third place for the #48 Porsche 911 GT3 R from 48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON in the SP9 PRO-AM class, which also meant fifth place overall on the starting grid. In the race, the drivers built on this performance, kept in touch with the leading group and avoided both mistakes and penalties. In the end, they were rewarded for their consistency with third place overall and victory in the SP9 PRO-AM class. A total of 134 cars lined up for the 6-hour race, including 21 highly competitive GT3 cars – further proof of the strong performance by 48 LOSCH Motorsport by BLACK FALCON.
BLACK FALCON Team EAE
Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg impressively demonstrated their pace in qualifying with the #5 Porsche 911 GT3 R of BLACK FALCON Team EAE. The trio of drivers not only secured pole position in the SP9 AM class, but also made it into the top ten of the overall standings. However, due to a problem with the steering sensor, starting driver Piana was forced to head for the pits during the formation lap following the Nürburgring GP circuit. After a quick repair, which was completed in time for the start of the race, he started from the pits behind the first starting group, but had to accept the one-minute time penalty stipulated in the regulations.
What followed was a magnificent comeback by Piana and his team-mates Kaya and Stursberg. By the time the chequered flag fell, the trio had fought their way up to eighth place overall. After a thrilling duel in the final laps of the race, they were just 0.227 seconds short of victory in the SP9 AM class. Nevertheless, given the difficult start to the race, second place was, on balance, a remarkable result.
BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN
Following their misfortune at the last NLS round, BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN made an impressive comeback to the top of the CUP2 class at the 6-hour race. Alexander Hardt, Benjamin Hites and Benjamin Koslowski started the race from second on the grid in the #900 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and took the lead as early as the first stint. They held on to it right until the finish.
For the drivers, this success was particularly emotional following the disappointment of finishing eighth in the previous round, and it has also given them a huge boost of confidence for the remaining three races of the season. In the 2026 PETN Championship, the BLACK FALCON Team ZIMMERMANN has narrowed the gap to the leader in the CUP2 class to just 4.5 points, as the victory in the 6-hour race was particularly valuable due to the 1.5-times points award.

During the race, the team put in a consistently strong performance and were only narrowly beaten by their team-mates in the #900 car. As an extra championship point is awarded for both pole position and the fastest lap of the race, the trio still have a realistic chance of winning the 2026 PETN Championship.

Following its accident-induced retirement from the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, the #632 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup of BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC returned to the track just in time for the NLS season’s highlight. Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Brown, Misha Charoudin and Manuel Metzger drove the car quickly and flawlessly over the distance. In addition to victory in the AT2 class, the quartet of drivers secured a more than respectable 20th place overall in a highly competitive field. Had it not been for a puncture caused by debris on the track, an even better result in the overall standings might have been possible.

Malcolm Harrison, David Ogburn, Russ Turner and Alexandru Vasilescu experienced a number of ups and downs during the 6-hour race. Although a collision with a CUP2 Porsche – through no fault of their own – caused damage to the bodywork of their #177 BMW M4 GT4 EVO, the suspension remained undamaged. This allowed the quartet of drivers to engage in a closely fought battle for class victory in the SP10, which they ultimately secured. AV Racing by BLACK FALCON’s successful season thus continues.
With the #920 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, AV Racing by BLACK FALCON also secured sixth place in the PETN’s CUP2 class, which featured an extremely strong field of 12 cars. In the #920, “Sun Tzu”, Peter Ludwig and Manuel Metzger shared the cockpit and delivered a strong, error-free performance over the entire race distance.
