BLACK FALCON celebrated victory in the AM classification in the CUP2 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) at the fourth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). In addition, the team achieved top-10 results overall with both Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars. In the AM classification of the CUP3 class in the PETN, the Porsche Cayman GT4 finished fourth.

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA: Fifth place after strong performance

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA competed in the fourth NLS round with Ben Bünnagel and Noah Nagelsdiek. The duo put the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#102) in a strong second place on the grid in the CUP2 class in the morning qualifying session. In the race, Bünnagel and Nagelsdiek battled for podium positions until the final hour of racing and led the fiercely contested class several times in the meantime. A technical problem with the power steering forced Nagelsdiek to make an additional stop in the final stint. After a vehicle reset, steering assistance was available again. The IDENTICA Porsche finally crossed the finish line in fifth place in class and 10th overall.

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR: CUP2-AM class win and solid performance in CUP3

At the first NLS race after a longer injury break, reigning PETN CUP2-AM champion Mustafa Mehmet Kaya celebrated a perfect comeback together with his teammates Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg. The trio put in an extremely strong and flawless performance at the wheel of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#103). After a qualifying session hampered by Code 60 phases, the team quickly made up ground in the race and took the lead in the AM standings towards the halfway point of the race. After four hours of racing, the Porsche crossed the finish line as the best-placed BLACK FALCON car in ninth place overall and fourth in the CUP2 class.
In the AM classification of the PETN CUP3 class, Cabell Fisher was joined by "Iceman" and Martin Meenen in the TEXTAR Porsche Cayman GT4 CS (#931). Iceman and Meenen competed in their first NLS race this weekend after a long break. The trio of drivers got off to a good start and steadily worked their way to the front over the course of the four-hour race distance. After a flawless performance, Fisher, Iceman and Meenen finished a strong fourth in the highly competitive PETN CUP3-AM standings.

Alexander Böhm, Team Principal and Managing Director of BLACK FALCON:

"After the bad luck at the 24h race, we are very happy about Mehmet's successful NLS comeback and the victory in the CUP2-AM. We would like to build on this in the coming races and achieve as many good individual results as possible during the rest of the season. Unfortunately the IDENTICA duo had bad luck with the machinery, in the last hour of the race the electric power steering failed. The problem occurred with several CUP-Porsche - obviously due to overheating. We were lucky in this case, because the failure happened shortly before the entrance to the pit lane, so we were able to perform a reset and send the car back on track.
The Cayman GT4, on the other hand, went through without any problems. Cabell, Iceman, and Martin did very well in the strongly contested class and brought in a solid result."
