BLACK FALCON scores class wins and podium finishes in triple outing

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA Porsche 992 GT3 Cup

Last weekend, BLACK FALCON undertook an elaborate large-scale operation: the team from Meuspath competed with a total of eight cars in three racing series. Four cars were entered in the fourth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) on the Nordschleife. All vehicles finished on the podium in their class, two of them were victorious. At the Dutch North Sea coast, BLACK FALCON competed with three cars in the seventh and eighth rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and achieved two podium finishes in the ProAm classification. At the third race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany, the team secured a visit to the podium in the Trophy classification with the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS.

NLS - BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA: Championship leaders after class win
BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA celebrated their second win of the season in the third race at NLS4. The Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #102 of Paul Harkema and Tobias Müller started the race from second position in the CUP2 class. Already in the first stint, starting driver Müller took the lead and constantly pulled away from his pursuers. As the race progressed, Müller and Harkema took turns at the wheel and after 28 laps were classified as the best non-GT3 car in an excellent ninth place overall and as class winners in CUP2. Harkema and Müller take the lead in the CUP2 class championship with their second win of the season.

NLS - BLACK FALCON: Victory and podium finish in the CUP2-AM classification
In the CUP2 class, BLACK FALCON sent two more Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars into the race. The two Porsche cars competed in the CUP2-AM classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) and took the third CUP2-AM victory in the third race (#104) and third place (#103) for BLACK FALCON. The regular drivers of the winning #104, Mustafa Mehmet Kaya and Mike Stursberg, were supported this weekend by former Porsche works driver Jörg Bergmeister. Their 911 started the race from third place and captured the lead after just a few laps, which the trio defended until the end. With his second victory of the current season, Mustafa Mehmet Kaya leads the AM classification of the PETN.
Their teammates Peter Ludwig, Noah Nagelsdiek and Maik Rosenberg shared the wheel of the #103. The trio was faultless over the entire four-hour race distance and secured their third CUP2 AM podium finish in the third race of the season with position three.

NLS - BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR: Second place after strong performance
BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR celebrated second place in the SP10 class with the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS (#161). Carsten Palluth, Reinhold Renger and Tobias Wahl started the race from position three. With consistently fast laps and a flawless performance, they worked their way up to second place and celebrated BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR's third podium finish in the third race after 26 race laps.

Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland: Strong pace remains largely unrewarded
The fourth race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland in Zandvoort held ups and downs for BLACK FALCON. After a strong start in free practice, Loek Hartog (#4), Sören Spreng (#5) and Carlos Rivas (#6) had no luck with their tyre choice in qualifying, which was marked by constantly changing weather conditions. The three BLACK FALCON Porsches were in the pits for a tyre change at exactly the moment when the track dried completely for a few minutes. As a result, they set their fastest times on a damp track, leaving them with no real chance of good grid positions.
Starting from position 16, Hartog showed an impressive performance in the seventh championship race on Saturday afternoon and fought his way up to sixth place in a chaotic race with several safety car deployments. On Sunday, the youngster, who is only 19 years old, crossed the finish line in 14th position after he went off the track while fighting for top-10 positions and thus fell far behind. For Sören Spreng, the weekend was similarly turbulent. On Saturday, Spreng celebrated second place in the ProAm standings after a flawless race and a great recovery from seventh on the grid. On Sunday, the 35-year-old finished sixth in the class. The first race of the weekend was already over for ProAm team-mate Carlos Rivas in the first corner after the Luxembourg native's 911 was hit by another vehicle. In the second race, the three-time ProAm champion had the necessary racing luck and drove from grid position six up to second place on the podium in the class.

ADAC GT4 Germany - BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR: Good pace, little luck
At the third race weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany at Zandvoort, the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR lacked the necessary race luck. In the fifth championship round on Saturday afternoon, the race was turned upside down by the onset of rain and was temporarily interrupted by the red flag. The Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS (#33) of Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld crossed the finish line in third place in the Trophy classification, but the joy over the podium position did not last long. The Cayman had previously gone into the gravel trap during a duel in the race and had subsequently been transported back onto the track by marshals. The car was subsequently taken out of the classification for using outside help. On Sunday, the duo was in second place in the Trophy standings for a long time. On the last lap of the race, a puncture caused a major loss of time. Despite the handicap, final driver Sartingen brought the Cayman home in a conciliatory third place.

Timo Frings, Head of Motorsport BLACK FALCON:
"We have experienced an intense and turbulent weekend. We achieved a great team result at the NLS and finished on the class podium with all our cars. Of course we are very happy with that. In Zandvoort, we lacked the necessary luck throughout the weekend. In the Carrera Cup we were basically very fast, but missed the optimum time slot in qualifying. Despite the difficult starting positions, we were still able to achieve some respectable results there. In the ADAC GT4 Germany we were also fast, but had bad luck with the puncture. So it's all the nicer that it was still enough for a podium finish in the end."
