VLN Endurance Championship - Preview Round 8

BLACK FALCON competes with two Mercedes-AMG GT3, three Mercedes-AMG GT4, the "wide body" Porsche as well as two production 911s at the penultimate VLN race of the year this Saturday (12.10.). At the eighth round of the Endurance Championship on the Nürburgring, serial Winner Patrick Assenheimer (DE) and Manuel Metzger drive the Mercedes-AMG GT3 #6 (BLACK FALCON Team AutoArena Motorsport) in the top class SP9. The duo keeps a close eye on the fourth BLACK FALCON overall victory of the year, while Yelmer Buurman (NL), and Luca Stolz (DE) will compete in the SPX class with the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo #54 (2020 version) and perform its first Nordschleife race. In the SP10 class Tobias Müller (DE), Tim Scheerbarth (DE) and Tristan Viidas (EE) race the Mercedes-AMG GT4 #162 (BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA). Shortly before the end of the season, the trio fights a head-to-head race for the championship title in the SP10 class - after the heart stopping final at VLN7, another exciting race is almost guaranteed. Two more AMG GT4 cars will start in the SP8T class: Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (TR), Stephan Rösler (DE) and Gabriele Piana (IT) will drive number 152 (BLACK FALCON Team KNUFFI), which won VLN7, while the sister car (#155, BLACK FALCON Team Knuffi) will be driven by Christoph Hoffmann (DE), Miguel Toril (ES) and Tobias Wahl (DE). For the Porsche vehicles of the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR, the Meuspath team relies on a mixture of pure-bred racing cars and production cars. The Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR II (#57) features a completely new design this weekend. Peter Ludwig (US), Manuel Metzger (DE) and "Takis" (CH) take turns at the wheel of the almost 500 hp "TEXTAR-Breitbau" in the fight for the class podium in the SP7. In the production cars group, two Porsche 991 Carrera will be in action. The current leaders of the V6 class, Alexander Akimenkov (RU), Ronny Lethmate (DE) and Vasilii Selivanov (RU), share #395 as usual. In the sister vehicle with the #394, Uwe Lebens (DE) completes his first VLN race of the year. His team mate is BLACK FALCON returnee Michael Lindmayer (DE).

The 51st ADAC Barbarossa Prize will take place on Saturday, 12.10.2019, on the combination of the Nürburgring sprint track and the Nordschleife. As usual, the race will last four hours. The entire event will be broadcast in German and English on the official website. Live onboard channels from three BLACK FALCON vehicles (#57, #152, #162) are also available. The broadcast starts at 08:20 with the start of the qualifying.
